This will be Billund Aquaculture's tenth consecutive time participating in Aqua Nor and the company is looking forward to it more than ever, according to Operations and Business Development Manager, Bjarne Olsen. “It is an opportunity to mix with other people from the industry, to have fun and enjoy ourselves, and also to have face-to-face meetings that help maintain good relations with our potential clients,” the executive said. Marius Hægh, Sales Director of Billund’s Norwegian subsidiary added he hopes to “meet potential partners and new people within the industry, greet old clients, present our technologies and look for inspiration to find better solutions to what we are doing.”
Global projects
At the Billund Aquaculture stand in Aqua Nor (D-345), you will find a spacious and comfortable booth, ideal for holding meetings that will help you learn more about the projects being developed by the company.
These projects include recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), which, according to Billund Aquaculture Australia’s CEO Patrick Tigges, are suitable for a wide variety of marine and freshwater species. “Although most of our volume and business focus is related to salmon, we have recently developed RAS projects for different species including Yellowtail Kingfish, Striped Bass, Barramundi and historically for Sturgeon and European Pike-Perch, which had never been cultivated using RAS before.”
This global outreach is reflected in more than 140 projects built in thirty countries over our 35-year history.
Finally, the Sales Director of the Norwegian subsidiary, Marius Hægh, invited Aqua Nor attendees to visit the company's virtual stand and, if they are attending the event physically, to not to forget that the pandemic is not over yet and that we must be careful to respect all health protocols.
