Once again, Billund Aquaculture had a positive experience at AQUA NOR. The 40th version of the world’s premiere aquaculture fair was held in Trondheim (Norway) from August 20th to the 23rd, bringing together the industry’s most important companies and stakeholders.
During the occasion, our top executives shared their experiences with a myriad of global aquaculture representatives; and this year’s event was another record-breaker: 680 stands made it the largest version ever, not to mention the over 28,000 people in attendance, who packed the halls of Trondheim Spektrum every day to catch-up on the sector’s latest trends.
Chairman of the Board, Christian Sørensen, was very pleased with the company’s performance, noting that “as a leading company in RAS systems, it is very important for us to be part of the world’s most import aquaculture fair. The industry is moving more and more towards this technology, so we must have a solid presence in these events”.
Bjarne Hald Olsen, COO and Business and Development, also weighed in, saying that AQUA NOR was a great place to confirm the great current state of the land-based aquaculture market. “We have met with long-standing customers to strengthen our bond and get up to date with the current state of their projects. We also spent time with potential customers and listened to their RAS-related needs. In addition, we spoke with equipment suppliers to hear about the trends in their respective development areas”.
Hald Olsen pointed out that “visits to our stand surpassed all expectations from day one. We are very pleased, because our stand became a very nice meeting point centered on RAS”.
Finally, Mr. Olsen assured us that “events like this drive us to continue working hard to provide innovative solutions for the development of a new form of aquaculture”.
